About Ms. Washington Sookdeo, PA-C

Indira Washington Sookdeo, PA-C, was born and raised in Virginia Beach and is a proud Tallwood High School alum. 

She graduated with a Bachelor of Science in Health Science, Physical Education, and Exercise Science from Virginia Commonwealth University in Richmond, VA and then completed her Master of Physician Assistant Studies (MPA) degree at Eastern Virginia Medical School in Norfolk, Virginia.

Mrs. Washington Sookdeo is board certified by the National Commission on Certification of Physician Assistants (NCCPA) and a member of the American Academy of Physician Assistants, the Virginia Academy of Physician Assistants, and the Society of Dermatology for Physicians Assistants. She is also an SDPA Diplomate Fellow. 

Indira is passionate about advocating for inclusivity in dermatology, with a focus on understanding and effectively treating the nuances of skin of color. She values the patient-provider relationship, helping her patients feel most comfortable in their own skin, and quality care. 

In her free time, she enjoys yoga, traveling, spending time with her French Bulldog, and trying new restaurants with her husband.
